You know you can't hold me forever
I didn't sign up with you
I'm not a present for your friends to open
This boy's too young to be singing the blues

So goodbye yellow brick road...

So, earlier this morning I realized what my life is like. Yes, a simile. My life is like a bowl of ravioli (or beefaroni) if you prefer. It's filling, not really that healthy and sometimes if you leave any left in the bowl it becomes crusty and no good. Other times if you eat too much you'll get sick. Now...truly this may seem an odd comparison but it's the truth - nothing is more simplistic than foods. And that is why they are applicable to my life and what it's like.

Simplistic. I say my life is simplistic and it really is. Because I have always thought I have drama, confusion, among other things but I realized my life is simplistic because it's shitty. And I made a comment to Robyn the other day that was really quite true and articulate given the situation: "I figure it's just normal for things to be shitty." And maybe that is what I haven't realized up until this morning when I woke up with a hangover, vomit on my shirt and a broken heart: shittiness is the one constant and ongoing normalcy in my life.

Fucking ravioli.

Always.
