This year has been a race for me one might say; I've been racing toward my unknown future and I have arrived at the end of my second college year. I'd like to think I'm a little wiser, a little smarter, and a little more mature. I'm writing this because I have always felt the need to remember what has happened in my life and this year in college has definitely been something memorable, something scary, and something endearing.
This is a tribute: to people, places and experiences from the school year of 2004 to 2005.
First, let me start by saying that everyone I have met this year has made a big difference in my life one way or another. I couldn't have had the experience I did without some of the wonderful people I know.
Jessica - Oh, where does the time go? All I can say is that I think a majority of my time from my sophomore year here @ Indiana University was spent with you. You taught me so much about friendship and what it really means. I'm so glad I met you and I'm so glad we've maintained our friendship through the beginnings of college. I know you and I haven't always had it easy, but I think we've settled into a pretty good relationship. It's divine, what you and I have: we understand each other perfectly and we have no need to explain things most of the time. I love that about us, we're fabulous! I'll always remember Sigma Pi when I think of you; let's see: there's Noyan obviously (I hope things work out well for you) and the many nights (consecutive!) we spent during Little Five @ Sig Pi dancing the night away with nothing but each other to keep ourselves entertained. There was Playboy, that sucked ass! There was the Toga party, hey man you had a shitty night, but I busted my ass in 3-inch stilettos ON ICE! There was Halloween weekend @ ISU and Rose Hulman - whew* let me tell yah that shit has followed me around! Ha! I was birthed from the sheet and you, well you were just there, watching and laughing obnoxiously. I'll miss you over the summer babe, but I promise to keep in touch and to come for a visit! *muah*
Robyn - It seems you and I have had a rather weird relationship this year, especially during second semester. Though I would have to say that was the first argument you and I ever really had, it brought us to a different place, a place I think we're supposed to be now. Our relationship has matured and it's become timeless in a sense. I know you're there for me and I'll be there for you! I'll always remember the Toga Party and especially Little Five - "Are you on the list?" "Yes." "Are you sure?" "Are you implying that I somehow snuck in here?" Hahahaha! I'll always remember you taking me to get my towed car - that was fabulous! Or how about, "BITE IT! BITE IT!" Good times, that guy was loopy! I can't wait to live with you next year; I know it will be great times!
Alonso - What can I say? You're always there, unless you're at the bars, but even then that's okay. This year was good, I feel like when I was searching for the parts of myself that I lost that you were always there to help with the search. You're a good person and a good friend - I love you babes! I'll never forget my first bar experience either, it was with you! Ha! CALL ON ME! And the fact that you let me drive your car, drunk no less, to go get Aaron just so I could have sex. That's real friendship damn it! ALIAS, oh geez, who could ever forget that? Julia Thorne and Michael Vaughn, what a team. I'M THE BABYSITTER!!!!!!! Yes, now I realize that is all too closely resembling myself.
Lauren - Lauren whether you know it or not, I believe you were a big part of my academic success this year! You were always so positive and helpful that it made me feel like I really could do it! Thank you Lauren and I wish you all the best next year!
Melissa - You deserve a freaking award for the friendship role you play; you're awesome and even though we didn't spend much time together, I still feel like you are the best friend I've ever had. :) You and I have the sort of relationship where we can not see each other for months at a time and when we get together it seems as though not a day has passed, I love that about us. Anyway, thanks for all your support and encouragement babe! I love you!
Grant - Well, Grant what can I say? Life just isn't life without having a Jewish friend! Haha! Nah, but for real, you're fabulous! Never before have I met a guy that will listen to me bitch and moan constantly and actually give me feedback - that's why you're great because despite your nasty disposition, you still care! I love you darlin'. Hmmm memories - all the times you've driven me places oh and Young Buck was great, you really made it fun for me! I hope your semester ends well and that the first summer session isn't too terrible for you. *muah*
Julia - Now don't think just because you are towards the bottom means you are not important, because you are! You have been my sanity through this second semester Jewelz. Really. I am so glad we are friends, I don't think I could trade our friendship for anything in the world, that is how much your confidence, your personality, your friendship means to me! :) Geez, I remember when you came down for Playboy and for a PSK party -good times, both times! And how about weekends we spent at home, being lazyasses watching movies and eating junkfood. Or...how about that really awesome club we went to? HAHAHAHA! Pat, he's your special buddy now! No, for real that place was busted, but that's our life right? Anyway, thank you for your friendship Julia, it means a lot and I can't wait for this summer - we're gonna have a dandy fucking time! *muah*
Erica - I only wish we had gotten to spend more time together, but the time we did spend together was fun. You always make me laugh! :) Thanks for letting me borrow your dress, you're a lifesaver! Also, I promise to call you this summer and keep in touch! Love you much! *muah*
James - I love you so much! :) You bring out the best in me even when I don't want to bring it out, haha! Formal was great - thank you so much for asking me - I had a blast! Good luck and congratulations on graduation, I know you'll be successful in whatever you do babe! And of course I'll always remember the drunken nights at your house, they were always fun - oh! and bowling, even though I didn't bowl with; I just watched. :) *muah*
Dave - Awwww Dave - seriously, I think you are one of my most favorite people ever; you crack me the fuck up everytime I see you and I can't wait to spend this summer with you!!!! Sorry about Little Five, booooo! But thanks for the great times @ Rose and at formal back in January. :) That was a lot of fucking fun man! I'll always remember the midnight movies and the late night drinking in Tad's security booth in Plainfield, what a great time! :) *muah*
Aaron - Even though sometimes I really, really dislike you I've still had a great experience spending time with you. Sometimes you're an asshole but I've accepted this fact and dealt with it accordingly. I hope your semester ended well! I am looking forward to spending time with you this summer, and you better be nice damn it!
Whisk - You always make me laugh because you're fucking hilarious and I love you! I'm glad we got to spend some time together during Little Five! I'll definitely be hanging with you some this summer too - and don't forget, slapping people in the face tends to make them angry!
So, that's my tribute folks! Sorry to anyone who feels left out, don't think that means I don't love you because I do! Hope everyone has a great summer and I hope to see everyone back here @ IU in the fall! *muah*
