judge
v. intr.
To form an opinion or evaluation.

I have tried to be neutral thoughout a particular event, but somehow I cannot hold my tongue for I know that certain things need to be said. I accuse no one of wrong-doing though I feel that there are instances of "foul-play" or unfair treatment with regards to the subject of which I am about to commence a discussion of.

To judge someone doesn't necessarily mean to voice your positive/negative opinions out loud. Judgments can be made in silence - and often are. I know I am guilty of it; I know most people are guilty of it. I do not claim to be perfect and I do not expect anyone else professes their perfections either. I do know one thing though - judging someone does make you judgmental. It's obvious and clear: hence judgmental comes from the word judge itself. It's not like they're not related.

Furthermore, being judgmental does not mean that you assert yourself onto someone else, either with your beliefs or ideas. Comments, looks, expressions can all be judgmental. And this is why I say to you: Before you are quick to say you are not judgmental, I ask that you question why someone would actually feel that you do judge them? It's as Berger once said to Carrie, "Now you're telling me how I feel?" Regardless of the idea that you may not have meant something to be a judgment, if a person feels it's a judgment - then in their eyes it is, and the only thing to do is apologize.

I am not saying one person is right nor the other wrong, but realize that regardless of the fact, it's the feeling/s that matter - especially when it comes to friendships or any relationship for that matter.

*Always.
