A Life Less Ordinary A Life Less Ordinary
May 31, 2005
Lately everything has been "blah." Yes, that is really the only word I can use to describe the consecutive days of work, the lack of sleep and fun that has been filling my enchanting existence since leaving IU in the beginning of May: blah.

However, there is definitely something to be said about my so-called "enchanting existence" of late; I feel good in knowing that I am working for my own money, paying my own bills and helping to pay my own way. Nobody likes to work, but I have come to realize that it's pretty early in my life to start bitching about it now. I still have some thirty-five or forty years to go. Plus I'm seasonal! Ha! Never thought that I could really call myself a seasonal employee (seems like a term rather reserved for Dairy Queen workers or Nursery employees)but alas! that is indeed what I am. Very recently I received a raise (go me!) and I also picked up 5 paid vacation days for my year-long struggles @ the good ol' green wall.

I will say another benefit of slaving away six or seven days a week has been that I have less and less time to think about boys, dating, drinking or any other amount of pitiful, time-consuming things and activities. It's nice to be so concerned about getting to sleep in that you fail to remember that you were interested in seeing someone or having sex for that matter. *sigh* (not that I don't miss sex, but man was it ever a pain in the ass to get sometimes...)

Okay, this will probably be my only entry for a few weeks; sorry guys, but it's not like living in Mooresville and working as a cashier at Walgreens leaves me a whole lot of neat and interesting things to write about.

*Always.
