A funny thing happened the other day; I was walking from my class back to my dorm and for a brief moment I felt really, and truly happy. I experienced a brief moment where I wasn't worried about my grades, my bills, my friends or family. It was nice; and it reminded me of someone that once said life isn't always easy but it's worth living it just to experience the few facets of joy one receives every once in a while. I felt that way at that particular moment.And the thing I realized was life isn't easy, but there have been several instances in my 20 years of living where I have experienced great happiness, joy, and enthusiaism for all the pain and other sadness I've experienced. In understanding this, I began to think about balance and what it means to have a happy medium in one's life. I've yet to find a happy medium but I am definitely in the process of searching.
I guess happy medium means a suitable balance. And for a while I felt like there would never be a suitable balance for myself because of all the continuous problems I seemed to be having, but now I think, it's possible, that I may end up okay after all.
